Pope Francis to Meet Iraqi Grand Ayatollah: Pope Francis will meet with Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, which is thought to be the first meeting between an Iraqi grand ayatollah and pope in history. The meeting will take place in the Iraqi city of Najaf.
House of Representatives Passes Election Bill: The US House has passed H.R. 1, a bill protecting Americans voting rights — and a counter to Republican bills in state legislatures nationwide aimed at suppressing voter turnout. The bill is not expected to pass the Senate, as it would currently need 60 votes to do so.
