Eric Jerome Dickey Passes Away: Acclaimed best-selling author Eric Jerome Dickey has died at the age of 59. Dickey wrote 29 novels during his lifetime, including 2002’s Thieves Paradise.

Warnock Wins Georgia Senate Runoff: Reverend Raphael Warnock has won the Georgia Senate Runoff against Senator Kelly Loeffler. Warnock, the senior pastor at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, will be the first Black senator in Georgia History. Jon Ossoff leads in the other Senate runoff in Georgia, however that race is too close to call currently.

Dr. Dre Hospitalized with Brain Aneurysm: Dr. Dre was hospitalized after suffering a brain aneurysm yesterday. He was reported in the ICU, but has been categorized in stable condition. He has released a statement thanking his fans, and is reportedly lucid.

Alabama Receiver Wins Heisman: Devonta Smith, receiver for the Alabama Crimson Tide, has won the 2020 Heisman Trophy. Smith is the first receiver to win the Heisman since Desmond Howard in 1991. He beat out quarterbacks Mac Jones, also from Alabama, and Trevor Lawrence from Clemson to receive the honor.

Intelligence Agencies Say Russia Behind Cyberattack: The FBI, DNI, and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Administration have stated that Russia is most likely behind the SolarWinds hack, which lead to breaches 10 government agencies in 2020.
