Trump Impeachment Trial Begins: The second impeachment trial of former President Trump began with a video montage of the events of January 6. The trial will continue in the Senate after an agreement on rules on how the trial is to proceed.
Maori MP Ejected from New Zealand Parliament: Maori member of the New Zealand Parliament Rawiri Waititi was ejected from Parliament for refusing to wear a tie. He referred to the tie as a “colonial noose.” Waititi wore a greenstone pendant in the necktie’s place.
