Himalayan Glacier Breaks, Causing Flooding: A portion of the Nanda Devi glacier broke off Sunday morning and a torrent of water flooded down the Himalayas. The floods washed away villages, destroyed a hydroelectric power plant. At least 18 people are dead, and more than one hundred are missing.
Republican Representative Ron Wright Dies After COVID-19 Diagnosis: U.S. Rep Ron Wright, a Republican from Texas, has died with COVID-19. Wright has previously survived cancer. Leadership from both parties have expressed condolences.
