Final Alex Trebek Jeopardy Episodes to Air This Week: The final episodes of Jeopardy featuring Alex Trebek as host will air this week. Alex Trebek died in late 2020 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 80.
Google Workers Form Union: More than 200 Google employees have formed a labor union after years of turmoil between employees and Google executives. The union will be open to all Alphabet workers (Alphabet is Google’s parent company).
Proud Boys Leader Arrested in Black Lives Matter Sign Destruction: Enrique Tarrio, Proud Boys leader, was arrested and is accused of destruction of property at Ashbury United Methodist Church, a Black church in Washington, D.C. The Proud Boys are also being sued for the incident, where a Black Lives Matter sign was taken from the Church and burned in the street.
U.K. Ordering Strict Lockdown Due to COVID-19 Variant: Prime Minister Boris Johnson has ordered a strict lockdown across Great Britain in order to contain the new COVID-19 variant.
Iran Begins 20% Uranium Enrichment: Iran has begun enriching uranium in an underground bunker at a level higher than any since 2015. Iran has also seized a South Korean-flagged tanker, raising tensions in the Middle East.
